We have now installed Intel Parallel Studio version 2013 on Abisko.

It contains C, C++ and Fortran compilers version 13, Intel Debugger version 13, MKL version 11.

Also included are Intel Inspector, Advisor and Vtune which are tools for analysing and tuning your code.

On Tuesday, 2012-08-14, 20:00 to 24:00, there will be a power maintenance at Umeå University that may affect HPC2N. Therefore we have scheduled downtime on all our clusters during the maintenance. Login nodes, file servers etc may also be unavailable during that period.

Due to an important test that was omitted during last weeks testing we need to rerun one final job on the whole system.

Abisko will be unavailable for normal batch jobs starting Monday 21th May.
We will then perform full system runs for the TOP500 numbers.
It is expected to take 3-4 days.

We apologize for the inconvenience this will be causing.

Due to unexpected hardware problems we need to extend the runs over the weekend.

The HPL runs are part of the final system delivery testing and is, besides generating a good TOP500 result, aimed at ironing out any remaning hardware problems and making sure the user community can run really large jobs on the system without problems.

We suffered an unexpected power failure in parts of Umeå and especially at the university.

We are working to get things back online again.
