Umeå Energi have fixed the leak they had in the feed to the cooling systems.
This means Akka and Ritsem have been turned on again, and the batch system has been started and is accepting/starting jobs.

Due to a leak in the feed to the cooling system Umeå Energi have to do some emergency repairs which may result in our cooling system failing and thus affecting all our clusters.
We have therefor stopped the batch systems from starting new jobs.
We will start the batch system when everything is stable again.
UPDATE (20110825):
According to Umeå Energi the cooling repairs are expected to be finished not earlier then Thursday evening/night (20110825)
Until then we have to keep Akka and Ritsem turned off due to insufficient cooling.
On Tuesday August 16 between 06:00 and 06:30 local time there will be a complete power outage on the Umeå University Campus due to revision of the high voltage supply system.
All clusters will be offline during the outage, with some margins before and after.

On June 14th maintenance on the electrical feed to our cluster computer room will be performed.
We estimate this to start at 09:00 on June 14th and be finished during the afternoon.
Akka and Ritsem will be turned off completely during this maintenance window. Jobs that have a walltime extending into the above time frame will not be allowed to start. This means that during the days leading up to the time frame Akka will seemingly have free nodes available but jobs will will not start.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Akka and Ritsem are now back in production efter the maintenance.
There are still some upgrades in progress on the batch nodes of Akka which will cause gaps in the batch system.
We will work as fast as possible to finish these upgrades.

During May 2nd to 10th there will be an electrical maintenance in one of
our computer rooms.
This is due to an upgrade of the electrical facilities to accommodate our
new cluster.
Akka, Ritsem and Sarek will be turned off completely, including login
nodes, during the whole period. Jobs that have a walltime extending into

This means that during the days leading up to the time frame Akka will
seemingly have free nodes available but jobs will will not start.
The problems in the batch-system have been fixed and it works normally again.

We are currently experiencing some problems with the batch system.
We are working on getting it back in working order.
