[2016-05-03] The nerve agent sarin causes a deadly overstimulation of the nervous system that can be stopped if treated with an antidote within minutes of poisoning. Today, a ground-breaking study has been published in PNAS, which in detail describes how such a drug works. Researchers at the Swedish Defence Research Agency, Umeå University (Anna Linusson's group, Department of Chemistry at Umeå University) and in Germany are behind the study.
Calculations were done on the supercomputers at the High Performance Computing Center North (HPC2N) at Umeå University.
You are all invited to a free workshop focusing on the capabilities of COMSOL Multiphysics software.
Date: Thursday, April 21st, 2016
Time: 09:00-12:00
Location: Umeå Folkets Hus
