Upgrade of Kebnekaise nodes to Ubuntu Noble, 2026-01-13

We are upgrading Kebnekaise compute and login nodes to Ubuntu Noble.

This will result in some older softwares to not be available anymore. We've tried to build everything that is currently used but when that isn't possible there should be newer versions available instead.

If something is missing despite our efforts, please send a support case through the SUPR support case interface (or mail support@hpc2n.umu.se) and let us know.

Currently the Skylake CPU and Skylake GPU nodes have been upgraded together with the thinlinc access nodes accessible via kebnekaise-tl.hpc2n.umu.se.
