Efficient visualization of data from simulations and experiments has become a success factor in science. Scientific visualization is important both for exploration and understanding in the scientist's own work, and also for outreach to others through publishing and education.

AVS/Express is one of the leading tools for scientific visualization and the scope of the seminar includes the latest updates on the issues:

  • Information visualization,
  • Visualization of complex data,
  • The evolution of 3D graphics standards on the Web,
  • Multi-platform tools for development of visual applications,
  • Upcoming Linux release of AVS/Express.

Invited speakers: Jesper Langkjær and Daniel Rama, Advanced Visual Systems Inc. (AVS), Denmark
