The Spring 2016 call for proposals for large allocations of computing time
on the High Performance Computing resources of the Swedish National
Infrastructure for Computing (SNIC) is open until 29 April 2016.
The allocations are for the period 1 July 2016 - 30 June 2017.
Department of Computing Science at Umea University, Sweden invites excellent candidates to apply for postdoctoral and PhD positions. The successful candidate(s) will join NLAFET, which is one of the high-profile extreme-scale computing projects funded by the European Commission within the recent FET-HPC call under Horizon 2020. NLAFET is coordinated by Umea University with international partners from INRIA (France), University of Manchester and STFC-RAL (UK).
NLAFET kick-off was held in the MIT building on Umeå University on 9-10 November 2015.
The aim of the NLAFET project is to enable a radical improvement in the performance and scalability of a wide range of real-world applications relying on linear algebra
software for future extreme-scale systems.
This is an opportunity for users of HPC2N's resources to drop by and have an informal talk with the system operators at HPC2N, ask questions, make suggestions...
Next opportunity will be 2015-11-10, 13:00-14:00: Room NC275 (note changed room).
