We are currently experiencing severe problems with the pfs (parallel file system).

Both Kebnekaise and Abisko are affected, including access to the PFS filesystem from the login nodes. Either it takes a very long time to access the files or the files are not available. We recommend that you try to avoid using the PFS filesystem.

It is working intensively to solve the problems. At the moment we have no ETA when the problems will be resolved.

Note: The batch queues for Kebnekaise and Abisko are stopped until further notice.

This news will be updated as soon as we have any updated information about the problems.

Update 16:00: Troubleshouting continues. The access nodes are currently unavailable for log in.

Update 2019-06-15 22:00: The PFS filesystem is back online and access to both Kebnekaise and Abisko have been restored, except for the ThinLinc access node. We are really sorry for the inconvenience caused by the problems with the PFS.

Update 2019-06-17 14:00: Unfortunately, the PFS system is down again. Troubleshooting continues.

Update 2019-06-24 11:35: After working mostly as it should for a week, the PFS file system is again malfunctioning. We believe the problem has been located, but are still working on a solution.
