High Performance Computing in Science and Engineering

High Performance Computing in Science and Engineering

Invitation

High Performance Computing Center North (HPC2N) cordially invites you to participate in a colloquium on high performance computing in science and engineering.

Scope

The aim of the colloquium is to bring users and potential users of high-performance computing resources together in an environment that stimulates discussions around challenges and possibilities within computational science and engineering. We also anticipate participation from PhD-students active in all areas of science and engineering.

The programme consists mainly of talks given by speakers from various areas of science and engineering, including some current users of HPC2N's computing resources.

Additionally, the program will include discussions about the future direction of High Performance Computing at Luleå University of Technology .

Invited speakers

  • Michel Cervantes, Division of Fluid Dynamics, Luleå University of Technology.
  • Dr. Erik Elmroth, Department of Scientific Computing and HPC2N , Umeå University.
  • Vahid Kalhori, Division of Computer Aided Design, Luleå University of Technology.
  • Docent Bo Kjellmert, Department of Mathematics, Luleå University of Technology.
  • Prof. Bo Kågström, Department of Scientific Computing and HPC2N, Umeå University.
  • Docent Sven Öberg, Department of Mathematics, Luleå University of Technology and HPC2N.
